Fahim Al Qasimi gave an express-interview to the Business Emirates Kazakhstan magazine and told about purposes of a visit and prospects for cooperation. Your Highness, please tell us about your agenda during the visit to Kazakhstan. FahimAl Qasimi: В First of all, we are interested in establishing cultural relations. We arrived inNur-Sultan with our high-volume program. For example, we presented photographic exhibition specially brought fromSharjah to guests of the National Museum inNur-Sultan. We also demonstrated our national dishes, folklore dances, traditional costumes and crafts, in particular, henna hand painting. In general, Sharjah is endowed with it. In addition, if you remember, we carried out the week of Kazakh culture in Sharjah... Yes, and we are interested to know how the Emiratis perceived Kazakh culture? FahimAl Qasimi: You know, Sharjah aims to unite all the cultures of the world. It is very beautiful and informative. But, this is a partial picture without Kazakh culture. We are interested in representing the Kazakh culture in Sharjah. Then culture is the foundation on which economic, investment and other relationships are built. I would like to note our other areas of relations. For example, a milestone event for us was the fact that we came into the global space family. As known, Kazakhstan is famous for space achievements, too. As you remember, onNovember 25 Hazza Al Mansouri became the first astronaut of the UAE, entering the orbit on the way to the International Space Station as part of the crew of the SoyuzMS-15 spacecraft. In space he shared his feelings: “I want so to share with you what I saw. Sunsets and sunrises on Earth are beautiful. I congratulate our leaders, our people and all Arabs”. I believe that culture also unites countries. One of the famous cultural events held in the Emirates is the Sharjah International Book Fair, which, by the way, is one of the five leading book fairs in the world. Are Kazakh writers invited there? FahimAl Qasimi : Of course, if you want to participate in our fair, then welcome! In general, publishing industry takes up sufficiently large percentage in the Sharjah's business structure. Moreover, if there is such an initiative, for SHARJAH AIMS TO UNITE ALL THE CULTURES OF THE WORLD. IT IS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND INFORMATIVE.
