Ukraine’s CCI andCCIs of Sharja andAbuDhabi
Emirates. The visit of thePresident of UAECCIs
FederationMr. SaidAl Suweidi alsobecame an
important contribution into thedevelopment of
mutual relationships.
UkrainianTradeCenter took care of the
preparationof Dubai CCI’s visit toUkraine.
During the visit, Mr. Al Mutaiwi underscored
onnumerous occasions that Dubai CCI and
UkrainianTradeCenter have developed close
fruitful relationships helpingdevelop the
connections between the two countries. It is
throughUkrainianTradeCenter that Dubai CCI
has the intentionof developing cooperation
withUkrainianbusinesses, rather thanwith
individual business entities.
UkrainianTradeCenter inDubai puts a lot
of efforts intopromotionof Ukrainianproducts
on the abundantmarket of UAE. Theseefforts
result in steady increaseof goods turnover
between the countries. Due to thework of UTC,
thepresenceof Ukrainians inbusiness lifeof UAE
becomesmore andmore tangible. Thenecessity
for establishment of UkrainianTradeCenter in
UAEwas dictatedby eagerness of Ukrainian
enterprises toestablishmutuallybeneficial
relationshipswith the Emirates business. UTC
recovered themissing link uniting thebusiness
communities of the two countries in tandem.
The first event organizedbyUkrainianTrade
Center that becamewidelydiscussedwas the
economic forum “Ukraine–UAECooperation
Spheres”, which tookplace inDubai. This event
gotmassivemedia coverage inUkraine and in
Dubai. This is quite logical since the forummeant
a real breakthrough in the fieldof Ukraine–UAE
business cooperation, becausebefore that time
theentrepreneurs of the two countries had
different ideas of diversification (for suppliers
–on the Emirates side and formarkets –on the
Ukrainian side). Due to this fact, manyUkrainian
companies foundnewprospects anddidn’t lose
the chance touse them.
UkrainianDelegation at the forumwas
representedbygovernment officials of Ukraine
and theAutonomous Republicof Crimea,
including theCrimea’s PrimeMinister,ministers
of economy, finance, industry, transport,
communications and fuel andenergy complex.
Also, Ukrainianparliamentarydeputies,
representatives of the StateProperty Fund
responsible for privatizationof state-owned
companies and a largenumber of Ukrainian
businessmen interested inbusiness cooperation
with the Emirates tookpart in theDubai forum.
Themainevents at the forumwere the two
roundtablediscussions “FuturePrivatizationof
“Ukrtelecom”and “Presentationof Autonomous
republicof Crimea”.
Discussionof roundtable issues dedicated to
“Ukrtelecom”was extremely interesting for the
representatives of bothparties. Alreadybeing
